About Me

I enjoy serving the Lord Jesus Christ by being involved in children’s and women’s ministries. Throughout the years, I have served as a speaker, teacher, and writer in various venues, including women’s retreats, youth retreats, camps, conferences, Kids Club, and my local Bible church’s Sunday School.

Although trained as an RN, I spent the last twelve years of my working career at the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation (UMDF) where I was the Research Grant Coordinator and a Member Services Associate. I retired in December 2014. Along with writing and teaching, I now have more time to enjoy crafts, card-making, reading, traveling (think Yellowstone and Yosemite!), and playing my trombone at church. I have been known to help my very musical husband write a few lyrics for Christian songs.

My beloved husband Steve and I reside in the rolling hills of southwestern Pennsylvania, where he is a university professor. But we love to travel back to North Carolina where we grew up. My favorite part of the U.S. is the mountainous region of western NC, especially the Blue Ridge Parkway, and this sometimes shows up in my writing. We are the parents of three terrific adult children and the grandparents of three precious grandchildren, whom we love to spoil.
